Scholarships for Members Studying Education-related Areas

There are several scholarships available to members based on their academic field of study. A gift to any of these scholarship funds, including the ones below, ensures that sisters pursuing specific majors will continue to benefit from these scholarship opportunities.

  • The Marilynn Joan Yocum Roy Memorial Scholarship was established by Penny Yocum Edmondson, Beta Xi, Kenneth Roy and friends in memory of Marilynn. This scholarship supports sisters studying creative writing. Penny and Marilynn were both biological sisters and Alpha Gam sisters.
  • The Hillary FitzHugh Scholarship benefits sisters who hope to further the lives of children through education, social work or non-profit work and was established in memory of Hillary L. FitzHugh, Epsilon Rho, by the Houston Alumnae Club in 2005. Included in her numerous Alpha Gam roles, Hillary served as Trustee for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. Hillary entered Chapter Grand in 2005.
