Scholarships for Members Studying Science-related Areas
There are several scholarships available to members based on their academic field of study. A gift to any of these scholarship funds, including those below, ensures that sisters pursuing specific majors will continue to benefit from these scholarship opportunities.
- The Elsie M. Jackson Scholarship benefits sisters studying in the field of science and was established in 1998 by Jean Jackson Robinson, Chi, in memory of Jean's mother, Elise M. Jackson.
- The Jenae Marie Johnson Scholarship benefits sisters studying in the medical field and was established in memory of Jean Nevius Johnson's granddaughter, Jenae Marie Johnson, who was born prematurely, passing a few months after her birth. Jean, Epsilon Gamma, and her husband, Bob, hope "…to know that Jenae will never be forgotten; that every year she will make a new friend and perhaps help other babies go home."
- The Barbara Henderson Miller Scholarship Endowment benefits sisters studying occupational, physical, or speech therapy. Barbara, Alpha Pi, was a long-standing volunteer for Alpha Gamma Delta, serving both the Detroit North Suburban Alumnae Club and the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. She entered Chapter Grand in 2013.
